Awareness Programs
Awareness is the first step towards behaviour change. To engage people in the climate action movement, we create awareness about waste mismanagement and climate crisis through in-person awareness sessions and workshops and online webinars and courses. These awareness programs are a starting point for individuals to reflect and start their climate action journey. As a part of this program, we also design newer content to disseminate through social media, one-time sessions and short-term courses.

Tiljala Fire Safety Workshop
The Tiljala Fire Safety Workshop was a significant awareness-building session held in collaboration with Tiljala Shed and SVP India (Kolkata Chapter), focusing on enhancing fire preparedness in vulnerable communities. The workshop was conducted in the Dhapa Tiljala slum area, Kolkata, and saw the participation of several individuals, including women, men and children from the local community.
Corporate Workshops
We conducted an engaging session on Circular Economy with the employees of NTT Data, Mumbai, aiming to build awareness around sustainable practices in the corporate world. Through this session, we explored how circular economy principles can be applied in daily life and the workplace to reduce waste and resource consumption.
Soft Launch of the community outreach program
As part of our ongoing efforts towards sustainable waste management, GFI was a part of the special Women's Day program at Vishakhare village in Murbad in collaboration with Earthian. Art Foundation. The event was creatively designed around the theme of waste management, using art as a powerful tool to engage and activate the community.
Following the event, we continued our awareness efforts during the Women's Day week withdoor-to-door awareness sessions. These sessions focused on educating residents about the importance of source segregation and how each household can play a crucial role in managingwaste effectively. The entire village came together to celebrate the occasion, making the program vibrant and meaningful. Through interactive art activities, we introduced the concepts of waste segregation and environmental responsibility in an engaging and accessible manner.
